Bay View

We lived near a bay and loved to walk at this spot in the state park. It was usually quiet and pretty secluded. I took the reference photo for this from one such day in May. Rain was threatening, yet it was so very peaceful. I wanted to capture the feeling of being of there. Painted with only Blue Earth Pastels which are very beautiful but also very soft, so they can be a challenge. A very light hand is required! On a brown PastelMat paper, which I'm loving more and more!
