I had watched an artist I loved do a pastel demo a few days before this was painted. Her work inspired me to be looser and bolder with my marks. I loved the process. The painting is from a photo of a waterfall I took at the Columbia River Gorge. Loved the varieties of colors in the leaves and the way they led you to the fall.
